Modified Corn Starches
Modified starches provide papermakers with a convenient way to increase strength and improve the physical properties of paper to aid in using increased recycled fibres. They also improve bonding characteristics of corrugated adhesives.

Unmodified Starches
Unmodified starch or pearl starch is widely used by the paper and corrugating industries. In paper making it provides a smooth clean finish, while binding the fibres together. Starch is the main ingredient in the adhesive to make cardboard. The textile industry uses starch to reduce friction in the weaving process and to improve a fabric’s feel and appearance.

Specialty Starches
Specialty starches serve a variety of industries and purposes including plastics, resins, adhesives, construction materials, mining, oil and gas drilling, water filtration, as well as use in pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
